Hello Well Traveled Texans! How did I get into the travel business? I was literally, born into it. I’m a former Air Force Brat and daughter of travel agency owners. I grew up in Europe and moved to the Washington, DC area as a teenager. My wanderlust took me to the University of Texas at Austin where I graduated with degrees in Advertising & Radio/Television/Film production (and a handy minor in French), followed by post graduate studies at UCLA’s school of Film & Television. In my 25 year broadcasting career I’ve had the honor of working with legendary journalists like Walter Cronkite and David Brinkley, produced major motion pictures, television commercials and on air promotions for MTV, ESPN and CNN, and negotiated advertising contracts for some of the biggest events in Television, from the Super Bowl to the Grammys, before my marriage (to a former Aggie football player) brought me from Los Angeles to Houston, where I continued working for local affiliates of The CW, CBS and NBC.
In 2014 I started my own production company, CultureLinkMedia, and brought my two daughters into the business to host our travel show, “Kid’s Eye View, Real World, Real Fun” to help families discover incredible destinations like France, Greece, Malta and America’s National Parks. It was while filming a story on Truffle Hunting in the south of France when I decided to open Well Traveled Texan Travel and The French Market, a boutique wine store, and pursue my Sommelier education to help clients discover the worlds of travel and wine. In addition to planning private travel for clients, I personally host annual “Laid Back Ladies” trips to Provence, with more groups trips coming in 2019. I hope you’ll join me on one of these unique adventures!
